Maps to Lead operates the website mapstolead.com and the associated lead generation service. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it. By using the service you agree to the practices described here.

1. Data we collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

Account data - your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile picture. We store only what is necessary to authenticate you.
Usage data - the searches you run (category, city, country), enrichment requests, and credit consumption. This is tied to your account and stored in our database.
Billing data - your subscription plan and payment status. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and are never stored on our servers.
Technical data - IP address, browser type, and session tokens stored in cookies. These are used for authentication and security, not for advertising.

We do not collect data on the businesses returned by your searches - that data belongs to you and is not associated with your account beyond your search history.

2. How we use your data

To provide and operate the service (running searches, enrichment, exports).
To authenticate your identity and maintain your session.
To process subscription payments via Stripe.
To send transactional emails (magic-link sign-in, billing receipts) via Resend.
To track credit usage and enforce plan limits.
To troubleshoot errors and improve reliability.

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Third-party services

We rely on the following sub-processors to operate the service:

Google Maps Platform - used to query business listings via the Places API. Your searches are forwarded to Google; Google's Privacy Policy applies.
Stripe - payment processing and subscription management. Stripe's Privacy Policy governs payment data.
Resend - transactional email delivery (magic links, receipts).

4. Cookies and session storage

We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics beyond what is technically necessary to run the service.

5. Data retention

Account and usage data is retained for as long as your account is active.
Search history is capped at your plan's history limit and older entries are automatically removed.
If you delete your account, all personal data is deleted within 30 days.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@mapstolead.com. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. International transfers

Our servers are located in the European Union. If you access the service from outside the EU, your data may be transferred internationally by the third-party sub-processors listed above, each of which maintains appropriate safeguards.

8. Children

The service is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or by a prominent notice on the website. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
